Target group

Practitioners working face to face with adult and child victims of Domestic Abuse.

All attendees should have a competent knowledge of Domestic Abuse and should have completed basic domestic abuse training within their own agency.

Aims and objectives

This training will help professionals identify signs and assess risk as well as provide help to victims. It will also incorporate the new legislation to support conviction of coercive and controlling behaviour (CCB).

Learning outcomes: At the end of the seminar, practitioners will be able to:

 Recognise the signs of coercive control

 Understand the impact on the victims (Adults and Children)

 understand support available and referral processes

 Overcome common barriers/challenges to providing support
